Let me tell you about the company, the culture, and the opportunity - then we will see if it's a good fit!JOB DESCRIPTION: Network EngineerPosition Overview:Establish and maintain network performance by building net configurations and connections; troubleshooting network problems. Maintain the employee network, email, and card key accessing accounts, and any additional duties that are assigned. Oversee the daily operations of computer networks.Responsibilities: Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; directing system installation; defining, documenting, and enforcing system standards. Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; schedule upgrades; collaborate with network architects on network optimization. Secure network system by establishing and enforcing policies; define and monitor access. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed. Report network operational status by gathering, prioritizing information; managing projects. Troubleshoot problems within network and security infrastructure, which may be caused by routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, proxy servers and make corrective actions when necessary. Key Skills: Keen eye for detail and ability to work independently. Ability to work efficiently to meet deadlines. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Self-motivated and organized. Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills. Working knowledge of hardware, software and network technology.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
